Lazy Local Concert- Sleepy Guitar Johnson CD Release Party!
Sleepy Guitar Johnson debuts with a strong blues sound. Sleepy's music is clearly blues inspired and is, in fact, drenched in the down home stuff, yet it is completely original, avoiding all of the cliches we have come to associate with the music. Think Blues/Surf-a-Billy with a whiff of Tom Waits!
Bring a picnic and kick back! No outside beverages please.

James Tally
Indoor Concert
“One singer-composer of singular talent and integrity, whose work will last beyond all fads and fashion””one of the most gifted songwriters of this or any other country…” Nat Hentoff
James Talley is an Oklahoma born folk-country-blues singer/songwriter, whose career now spans nearly forty years. His name has been mentioned alongside Woody Guthrie, Merle Haggard and Bob Dylan, and praised for the quality of his songwriting and wise, expressive voice. Noted author and music critic, Peter Guralnick has said of James' work, "There are few singer-songwriters who could produce a collection of such magnitude coupled at the same time with such lightness, beauty, and all-out social conscience. Woody Guthrie never wrote a more direct or affecting song than "Richland, Washington"; Bruce Springsteen never wrote a more powerful one than "Tryin' Like the Devil."
